Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on the Textpik website and how you can manage them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Together with similar technologies (such as your browser’s local storage), they let a site remember your preferences and improve your experience.

2. Cookies we use

  • Essential: needed for the site to work. A local storage entry remembers that you closed the cookie notice. On your private ticket page, a cookie identifies your device so that only your devices can see your tickets; it expires after one year. Textpik staff also use a sign-in cookie on our admin area.
  • Preferences: while you browse a ticket page, your browser remembers your scroll position for that tab; it is cleared when you close the tab.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (named “_ga” and “_ga_” followed by an identifier) help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. Google sets them to expire after up to two years. We do not use advertising cookies.

Our home page also loads its animated background from jsDelivr and Unicorn Studio, which receive standard request information (such as your IP address and browser type) when your browser downloads it. We do not use them for analytics or advertising.

3. Your choices

When you first visit the site we show you a notice about cookies. Closing it with “Accept” only hides the notice: essential cookies are always used, and Google Analytics runs unless you turn it off in one of these ways:

  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, our website does not load Google Analytics at all, so no analytics cookies are set, and our short links do not send your visit to Google Analytics.
  • Google’s opt-out add-on: you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Your browser settings: you can block or delete cookies, as described in section 4.

We do not use cookies to sell or share your personal information; see “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in our Privacy Policy.

4. How to manage cookies

You can set up or delete cookies in your browser settings. Keep in mind that turning off some cookies may affect how the site works; for example, without the device cookie you may not be able to open your ticket page. Check your browser’s help pages for more information.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy. We will post any change on this page with the date it was last updated.
